For this project, the client wanted to condense the garden bed and increase the presence of native Maryland plants to her backyard. My team and I installed a new timber border wall, two sweet bay magnolia trees, and five winterberry hollies. A male winterberry was strategically chosen to pollinate the female shrubs, producing vibrant red seasonal berries. It is important to keep in mind that native plants support local pollinators, increase biodiversity, attract beautiful butterflies, and can bring many additional benefits to your garden.
